Protect Your Investment

When the season changes, trust Triton Pool and Spa to handle every detail— expertly protecting plumbing and equipment in winter to avoid these common winter problems.

Avoid Damage to Lines and Equipment

We ensure no water is left in lines or equipment, which can lead to costly repairs.

Avoid Algae Growth and Staining

Shocking and balancing water when winterizing is essential to prevent scaling and staining through winter, and a green pool in the summer.

Avoid Debris in the Pool and Damage to the Cover

We properly secure your cover, set water levels to support it, and ensure it has a cover pump.

Our Winterization Process

  1. Thorough Clean & Chemical Balance: We begin with vacuuming, brushing, and debris removal, then balance pH, alkalinity, calcium hardness, and sanitizer to prevent corrosion and algae growth during the off-season
  2. Shock & Add Winter-Grade Chemicals: We apply shock treatments and algaecides to sanitize and stabilize the water
  3. Lower Water Levels: We adjust water levels below the skimmer or tile line—guided by cover type—to prevent freeze damage
  4. Drain & Blow Out Plumbing and Equipment: Pipes, pump housings, filters, heaters, and return lines are fully emptied. Skimmers and return ports are fitted with winter plugs, and we use compressed air to ensure no water remains that can freeze and expand
  5. Apply Antifreeze (as needed): In especially cold cases or for long runs of plumbing, we may use non-toxic antifreeze to protect against freeze damage
  6. Cover Installation & Accessories Protection: We properly secure a winter or safety cover and store accessories like baskets and hoses indoors. Ladders and tools are cleaned and stowed to prevent winter wear
